04. What tolerances can you achieve?

Achievable tolerance depends on the material, component geometry, dimensions, and production quantity.
Taking a 500mm × 500mm mold base as an example, the flatness can reach 0.0005mm, the surface finish can reach Ra < 20nm, and the roundness, cylindricity and perpendicularity can all reach 0.0003mm, with a runner surface finish of Ra < 60nm. For cavity mold inserts, the aspheric profile accuracy can reach 0.1μm peak-to-valley (PV). Another example, positioning in molds the cylindricity accuracy we achieve after fitting can reach 0.3 micrometers, which contributes to a longer mold opening and closing lifespan, as well as the batch-to-batch stability of injection molded products.
